Animal Reservation and Handover Conditions
1. Basic information
These conditions govern reservations and the occasional handover of animals from the Rokytera hobby breeding project.
Breeder: Martin Pěnkava – Rokytera E-mail: info@rokytera.cz Phone: +420 732 823 618 Website: www.rokytera.cz Location: Rokycany, Pilsen Region, Czech Republic
Rokytera is a hobby breeding project, not a pet shop or a publicly accessible business premises. Animals offered come from our own breeding unless explicitly stated otherwise for a particular animal. Visits and personal collection are possible only by prior arrangement.
2. Information about animals
For every animal offered, we aim to provide truthful and up-to-date information available to us, particularly photographs, date of birth, sex, weight, coloration, origin and information about its parents.
The appearance, coloration and body proportions of a young animal may change as it develops. Its final appearance, intensity of coloration or future breeding results therefore cannot be guaranteed. Any uncertainty concerning sex, genetics or another characteristic will be stated for the particular animal.
We take photographs with the aim of representing the animal's appearance and coloration as faithfully as possible. Colours may nevertheless appear slightly different due to the lighting used when the photograph was taken and the settings of the viewer's display. A leopard gecko's coloration can also change naturally during growth, shedding and over the course of the day.
3. Reservation request
Submitting a reservation does not create a purchase contract. A reservation constitutes a non-binding expression of interest in an animal. The handover conditions and any subsequent sale will be confirmed after individual agreement.
Submission alone does not guarantee availability or reserve the animal. A reservation becomes valid only after confirmation by the breeder and agreement with the interested party regarding payment, duration and handover.
The breeder may refuse a request, particularly if there are reasonable doubts that the interested party can provide suitable conditions and care.
4. Reservation period and deposit
An animal may be reserved free of charge for no more than three days. A reservation lasting longer than three days requires a reservation deposit of 25% of the agreed animal price. Unless agreed otherwise, a reservation secured by a deposit begins when the payment is received.
The deposit is deducted from the final price. If the interested party cancels, withdraws from the purchase or fails to collect the animal at the agreed time without prior arrangement, the deposit is non-refundable. If the breeder cancels the reservation or the animal cannot be handed over for serious reasons, the deposit will be refunded in full. Any extension or change of handover date must be agreed in advance.
5. Handover of the animal
The method, place and date of handover are agreed individually. The animal will be handed over only if the breeder considers it to be in suitable condition and fit for safe transport. The new owner should inspect the animal upon handover and raise any concerns without undue delay.
Before collection, the interested party must provide suitable housing and conditions appropriate to the species. The breeder may ask for basic information about the prepared enclosure before handover.
6. Care after handover
The new owner will receive the available information about the animal's previous husbandry, feeding and care. After handover, the new owner is responsible for suitable conditions, proper care and feeding, and any necessary veterinary treatment.
7. Acceptance of the conditions
Before submitting a reservation request, the interested party must read the current version of these conditions. By submitting the form, they confirm that they have read and accepted them. They also acknowledge the processing of personal data to the extent necessary to handle the reservation and related communication.
These conditions also apply to the subsequent handover or purchase unless the breeder and the interested party agree otherwise in writing or in person.
